FAIRHOPE, Ala. — The Fairhope High School Female and Male Athlete of the Year W.C. Majors Award for 2007-08 was presented to Linde Stejskal and Daniel Megginson. This award is given to athletes who exemplify excellence in academics and athletics.

The award is named for W.C. Majors, who served as FHS athletic director and head football coach from the mid-1960s to the mid-’80s. Linde is the daughter of Leslie and Connie Stejskal, the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Stejskal and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Johnson.

While in high school, Linde played volleyball, soccer, basketball and track. She also received an award for perfect attendance for 13 years of school. Linde will be attending Auburn University this June.

Daniel Megginson is the son of Mike and Sally Megginson, the grandson of the late John and Betty Duck and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Megginson.
