2 Angels Amongst Us is a non-profit charity that was started three years ago by Donna Slater and McElrath to honor their daughters, (pictured) Magen Nix and Robyn Kendall. Robyn and Magen were best friends all through Gulf Shores High School and were in their first year at Auburn University when they were killed in an auto accident. The unthinkable accident occurred 11 years ago.

“Our girls, Magen and Robyn, will always be a part of their community as well as part of everyone’s heart,’’ McElrath said. “Keeping their spirit alive through this charity is also a way of Donna and I healing, as well as helping heal those that fall on hard times.’’
