After the rush of Easter and spring break, the Gulf Coast isn't slowing down.
From festivals and fundraising feasts to classic car shows and poetry slams, this weekend offers a little something for everyone. Saturday is also Independent Bookstore Day — the perfect excuse to linger a little longer in your favorite local shop and maybe even discover your next great read.
Still, part of me looks at the calendar and wonders when I'll find time to do the things I meant to do this spring — like finally get my garden going or finish the half-done craft projects piling up on my table. There never seems to be enough time in the week to do it all, but I suppose that's just how it goes. C'est la vie.
Here's a look at what's happening this weekend.
