Students Win Big at AYTE

Several performing arts students of The Studio, in Daphne, attended the Alabama Youth Theater Experience in Mobile on Oct. 2, and brought home an array of awards.

Celia Knox, of Mobile, a senior voice student of Brandon Marcus, received top honors when she won first place in the Advanced Musical Theatre Solo category.

Freshman Lilah Nagel, of Daphne, and seventh grader Adalyn Lyles, of Silverhill, both voice students of Marcus, received a first-place ranking in the Advanced Musical Theatre Duet category.

The AYTE also recognized two students of The Studio with Honorable Mention awards.

Mary Alice Cannizzo, of Fairhope, a seventh-grade acting student of Robin Ann Page, received an Honorable Mention for her performance in the Intermediate Monologue category.  Wynter Marlow, of Fairhope, a fourth-grade voice student of Shannon Hastings, also received an Honorable Mention for her performance in the Elementary Musical Theatre Solo category.
