The Alabama Housing Finance Authority has opened entries for its fourth annual National Homeownership Month art contest, inviting children across the state to put their imagination on display.
The statewide contest, open to children ages 5 to 12, encourages young artists to interpret this year's theme, "Sunshine and Smiles in Alabama Style." Organizers hope the theme will inspire kids to show what makes Alabama a bright and happy place to call home.
Entries can be submitted online as photo uploads at https://woobox.com/wdzypf through 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25. There's no cost to participate, and each child who enters will receive an AHFA prize pack. A grand prize winner will be announced no later than Thursday, July 3.
The contest is held each June as part of National Homeownership Month, a time dedicated to recognizing the benefits of owning a home and the role it plays in strengthening communities.
Full contest details, including the entry form and voting information, are available at www.ahfa.com/ahfa-kids/2025-annual-kids-art-contest. For more information about AHFA Kids programs and resources promoting financial literacy, visit www.ahfa.com/ahfa-kids.
