The YMCA of South Alabama is opening a new branch in Spanish Fort, expanding its footprint across Baldwin and Mobile counties and bringing a wider range of health and wellness services to the Eastern Shore.
Located at 6729 Spanish Fort Blvd., Suite A, in the Blakeley Square shopping center, the facility marks a strategic move to increase accessibility for families, individuals and community members on both sides of the bay. The nonprofit will host a grand opening celebration Friday, June 6, beginning at 8:15 a.m., and invites the public to attend.
The new branch offers a full fitness center equipped with cardio and strength machines, a variety of group fitness classes and YMCA Child Watch — a service that provides a safe, stimulating space for children while parents focus on their health.
Designed with community in mind, the facility promotes inclusion and belonging through open, welcoming spaces meant to serve all ages and fitness levels.
