The Wolf Bay Restaurant family wants to party like it’s 1973 with the community that has supported them for 50 years.

That year, Charlie and Sandra Wrape purchased a bait shop overlooking Wolf Bay in Elberta and turned it into a full-service seafood restaurant. The original location was destroyed by fire in 2008, but the local seafood tradition continues at the Foley and Orange Beach locations.

“Please accept my heartfelt thanks for supporting Wolf Bay for so many years,” Wolf Bay owner Char Haber said.

To thank the many people who have loved and supported the restaurant through the years, Wolf Bay is holding a 50th anniversary celebration Wednesday, March 1, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at both locations. Guests will enjoy drink specials, live entertainment, giveaways, raffles and an all-you-can-eat fried shrimp for two, which includes salad, French fries and hushpuppies, for $19.73.

“I know my parents are looking down with smiles on their faces," Haber said. "I miss them so much, but because of each of you my family is able to continue their legacy."

As part of the celebration and in partnership with Gulf Coast Media, Wolf Bay is giving away 50 gift cards each worth $50. To sign up, go to www.gulfcoastmedia.com/wolfbay.
