Witch rides soar through four Baldwin County cities this year

Moon's out, brooms out! Hundreds of witches will fly through the streets of Baldwin County this year during four different witches ride events. Each ride raises money for local charities and tickets were still available for would-be witches for all four rides at press time. Make sure you line the street to see them pass for these witches don't hex as they ride past, they throw candy, and maybe a cackle or two.

Haunted Hustle 5K & Witches Ride
These sporty beach-based witches host a 5K before they climb aboard their brooms and ride. Proceeds benefit the Dolphin Foundation for Education and Arts. See them Oct. 22 at Gulf Place in Gulf Shores at 4 p.m.

Fairhope Witches Ride
The witches are back in Fairhope! After a two-year hiatus the witches are back and will ride through the streets of downtown Fairhope. The ride benefits the Baldwin Humane Society. See them ride Thursday, Oct. 27, at 5 p.m.

Bay Minette Witches Ride
Witches and warlocks will take flight at Blackburn Park on Oct. 29. Proceeds will benefit North Baldwin Animal Shelter.

Foley Witches Ride
The witches in Foley will ride through downtown on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 5 p.m. All proceeds benefit community betterment organizations.
