Snow has started to fall up north and that can only mean one thing, the snowbirds are back.
The Wisconsin Sno-Bird Club hasn't met in person in three years but that will all change Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023. The first meeting since the COVID-19 pandemic will kick off at 8:30 a.m. at the Orange Beach Event Center with coffee and donuts. Guest speaker Mark Sealey, Gulf Shores Fire chief, will start the meeting at 9 a.m.
While the group hasn't met in person, they have continued their philanthropy in Baldwin County. Recently, club member Gary Durbin delivered a stack of gift cards to the Baldwin County Department of Human Resources office. The 57 gift cards totaling $1,425 will be used as gifts for the Baldwin County foster care program. Program supervisor Tina Green accepted the donation.
