A weekend of fine wine, gourmet food and world-class yacht racing is on the horizon as the Sacred Heart Foundation announces the inaugural Wine on the Water festival, set for March 20-22.
The three-day event, presented by Sandy Sansing Dealerships and Florida Insurance Agency, will combine the vibrant culinary scene of Pensacola with the excitement of the GL-52 Series yacht races, creating a celebration of community and culture in support of the foundation's mission, according to news release.
The centerpiece of the weekend will be the "grand tasting," held Saturday at Blue Wahoos Stadium. Guests will savor a diverse selection of wines and craft beers paired with dishes crafted by some of Pensacola's most celebrated chefs. The event promises an afternoon of live entertainment, a croquet and rosé tournament on the stadium field and views of the yacht races unfolding across Pensacola Bay.
"This event is a unique celebration of our city's rich culture, flavor, and community spirit," said Adrienne Maygarden, president of Sacred Heart Foundation, in the release. "We're thrilled to bring together local culinary experts, community leaders and passionate supporters in an event that showcases everything Pensacola has to offer, all while supporting the vital work of Sacred Heart."
Proceeds from Wine on the Water will support the foundation's commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care through advanced medical technology, education and outreach programs.
Sponsorship opportunities are available, and tickets will soon be on sale for the weekend festivities. For more information or to get involved, contact Jane Lauter at jane.lauter@ascension.org or visit www.givesacredheart.org/wow.
