The Frank Calma Memorial Welcome Back Snowbirds Dance returns after being postponed in 2021. The annual event kicks off the snowbird season with dancing and fundraising.

This year's event will be held at the Foley Civic Center from 6-9 p.m. Jan. 21, 2022. Guests are encouraged to bring appetizers for the table and your preferred adult beverage. Tickets are $20 per person and include setup, chips, soft drinks and water.

The Welcome Back Snowbirds Dance began in February 2007 when Frank Calma wanted to raise money for the Knights of Columbus to help local charities. The event has been successful in realizing Calma's dream for 15 years with the support of the local community, businesses, snowbirds, Gulf Knights and Ladies Auxiliary, Elberta Knights and the Columbiettes.
