Want to get involved? Baldwin County Animal Shelter needs dog walkers, volunteers to play, socialize

If you love animals and are seeking an opportunity to give back to and get involved in the community, check out the Baldwin County Animal Shelter.

The shelter is in need of volunteers with primary needs being people to help walk the dogs and play with them outside to ensure they get daily exercise and socialization.

According to a news release, volunteers must be 18 years or older.

Anyone interested can fill out a volunteer packet either at the Baldwin County Animal Shelter or find it online at https://baldwincountyal.gov/departments/animal-shelter/shelter-publications/docs/default-source/animal-control/shelter-publications/BCAS-Volunteer-Packet.

Visit the Baldwin County Animal Shelter at 15240 County Road 49, Summerdale, AL 36580, anytime Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to learn more and apply, receive a tour of the facility and get started.
