FOLEY - The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is taking place on Saturday, Nov. 27 from 8 a.m. - noon at Heritage Park in Foley. Participants can head to the Heritage Park Gazebo the morning of the event to register.

The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is held annually in over 600 communities nationwide. It is the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. All ages and abilities are welcome to participate.

People in the community can join the local event or Walk From Home in their neighborhood. There is no fee to register to participate in the event. While there is no fee, participants can donate or raise funds to go directly to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Sign-up for the walk will take place beginning at 8 a.m. at the gazebo. The opening ceremony begins at 8:30 a.m., and the 3-mile walk begins at 9. A potluck will take place after the event.
