Under The Sea Tea brings mermaids, pirates to Copper Kettle

Posted

Mermaids and pirates took over the Copper Kettle Teabar in Foley on August 18, as they banded together to celebrate the Under The Sea Tea. The guests ventured onto dry land and left their ships docked, as they spent the evening dancing, playing music, singing songs, building sandcastles, and exploring for treasure. Entertainment was provided by jugglers, fire spinners, and local favorite mermaid Melissa Joiner, who came out and offered music and song to the onlookers. Dinner was served in the form of dishes inspired by the sea, with dessert being a ‘mermaid of pearl’ cupcake. Not even a wave of rain could deter the spirits of the guests, as those who braved the summer shower enjoyed a night of good music, good food, and great company.
