The residents of Daphne can welcome a new unique Mexican experience in Tulum Mexican Cuisine.
Tulum recently open its doors and has strived to offer guests hospitality and a Mexican fare like no other, with manager Joshua Hernandez saying that want their guests feel welcome the second they walk through the doors.
“[The owner] really wants to make sure that all of our guests feel heard and feel cared for in every single one of their visits, and that’s why we call them guests here,” Hernandez said. “I’ve worked at other Mexican restaurants and other restaurants, and sometimes the opinion of the guests are forgotten, so we’re here. We are very present and even the owners are very present on every table. We want to make sure all of our guests felt heard.”
The goal of Tulum was to give people an opportunity to enjoy upscale Mexican food, all while enriching themselves in new flavors they may haven’t taste before. Along with traditional Mexican dishes such as tacos, chimichangas, and fajitas, Tulum also offers seafood and steaks in a unique Mexican palate.
One of their favorite dishes includes the Birria Ramen, a dish that brings noodles mixed with birria, cilantro, pickled onions, fresh jalapenos, and avocado. The popularity of Birria Ramen has grown thanks to social media.
“I was very surprised, even being from Mexico myself, but whenever I tried it, it was a great combination,” Hernandez said. “It was not necessarily a Mexican well-established dish, but it was something that was just created not too long ago, and it started becoming popular, so it gives a great new flavor.”
Some of their dishes also have a show to them, with select dishes being brought to guests’ tables and lit on fire in front of them with branding, giving them a nice little memory to go home with.
Tulum Mexican Cuisine is located at 9878 Spanish Fort Boulevard in Daphne, and brings a new Mexican experience to Baldwin County.
