OWA Parks and Resort announced the opening date for the much-anticipated Tropic Falls Indoor Water Park May 11 during a Facebook Live feed. Director of Marketing and Public Relations Kristin Hellmich announced the opening date as June 27.

“We are so excited with this new addition. There are a lot of great attractions for family and friends to come enjoy the indoor water park as part of our phase one of the new attraction here at Tropic Falls,” Hellmich said. “The indoor water park has a lazy river, Castaway Creek, if you want to relax and kind of chill around the indoor water park. We also have six thrill slides, two of those are our high speed and high energy slides which are the Piranha Plunge and Tangerine Scream.”

Along with the six thrill slides and lazy river, the glass building will also feature a 300,000-square-foot wave pool and a tower with five slides geared toward the younger visitors.

Hellmich said that phase one includes everything inside the glass building: the indoor water park, birthday party room, restaurant and bar. Phase two, which includes the outdoor wave pool, Breakers Café and surf simulator is projected to open later this summer, but no specific date was given.

Hellmich also announced the new ticket and annual pass pricing structure.

A single-day combo ticket will be $69.99 and includes the indoor water park and theme park.

A Tropic Falls Theme Park and Indoor Water Park only ticket will cost $24.99.

A Diamond Combo Pass will be $299.99 and includes unlimited visits to Tropic Falls Theme Park and Indoor Water Park until Dec. 31, 2022. The pass includes four “Bring a Friend” tickets, $12 off Tropic Falls general admission day passes, 15% off selected dining and merchandise, exclusive passholder events and $15 off each additional season pass when purchased by passholder.

The Gold Combo Pass will be $269.99 and includes unlimited visits to Tropic Falls Theme Park and Indoor Water Park until Dec. 31, 2022.
