Tri-City Community Foundation announces new funding opportunities for Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Foley organizations

Posted

The Advisory Committee of the Tri-City Community Foundation recently announced the opening of its annual competitive grant cycle for local nonprofits that are addressing the needs of the Tri-City community and striving to improve the quality of life of residents.

The invitation to submit applications will be made available on March 17.

The Tri-City Community Foundation was formed in August 2018 to serve as a valued researcher, collaborator and partner in charitable giving for the Foley, Gulf Shores and Orange Beach communities. Individuals and organizations with philanthropic goals can establish a fund with the foundation and choose to designate how the funds are issued or allow the foundation to allocate them to verified charitable organizations through a competitive grant-making cycle.

The committee overseeing the foundation consists of 10 members. Ed Douglas, chair of the committee, Wade Bradford, Tammy Busby, Kim Frank, Matt Grant, Bob Higgins, Michelle Hodges, Steve Jones, Christi Koehle and David Lee. Together, they determine what areas to focus on within the Tri-City community. Through concerted grantmaking, the Foundation gives these local leaders an opportunity to make a difference in the communities they call home.

Nonprofits interested in applying for a grant can view the grant guidelines and access the online grant application portal by visiting https://tricitycommunityfoundation.org.

A virtual Q&A session for eligible organizations interested in applying for a grant will be held via Zoom on March 20. The deadline for application submission is May 9 at 4:59 p.m.

For questions about this grant opportunity or grant guidelines, please contact Leigha Bolton at lbolton@communityfoundationsa.org or (251) 438-5591.
