SILVERHILL — The Central Baldwin Chamber of Commerce held its first Business After Hours of 2021 on Tuesday, Oct. 12, hosted by Mayor Jared Lyles and the Town of Silverhill at the Silverhill Community Center.

The event included food, catered by Silverhill’s own Café Acadiana, refreshments and networking. Door prizes included a $50 cash prize and a prize donated by one of Silverhill’s newest businesses, the Silverhill Mill, owned by the Chandler family.

The Chamber also recognized Junior Ambassadors for 2021-22 and outstanding volunteers for the first three quarters of 2021.

This was the first Busines After Hours in nearly a year, said Chamber President/CEO Gail Quezada. “We’re just really excited to be back hosting events,” Quezada said, “and hopefully we can continue to be able to provide ways of bringing businesses and people in our communities together.”

The last Business After Hours was the Chamber’s annual Holiday Business After Hours in December of 2020 at First Baldwin Land Title in Robertsdale. The Chamber is already planning its next Business After Hours, which will be held beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9 at Pen Air Federal Credit Union in Robertsdale.
