Happy Labor Day weekend, Baldwin County. Fun fact: Labor Day became a federal holiday in 1894. This holiday is the one day that the working person is celebrated. There are lots of events happening this weekend all over the county, like the 36th Annual Mullet Festival in Lillian. Animal Adoption Event
What: The Baldwin County Animal Shelter and PetSmart have teamed up for an adoption event. Meet some shelter dogs looking for their forever home.

Wake Jam 2022
What: Wake Jam 2022 is the first ever wakeboard competition at the Gravity Island Watersports Wake Park at OWA. Register to compete or cheer the riders on as they fly over jumps.
When: Friday, Sept. 2, from 3-7 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 3, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.

OWA Labor Day celebration and 5th Annual Labor Day Car Show
What: OWA will be abuzz with activities over the Labor Day weekend. Shine up your classic wheels and enjoy the 5th Annual Labor Day Car show benefiting the Foley First Baptist Church and enjoy all the activities in Downtown OWA on offer. Live music kicks off at 6 p.m. at OWA Island and a patriotic fireworks display will light up the sky. Visit visitOWA.com for a full schedule of events for the weekend.

Labor Day Weekend at American Legion Post 199
What: What is your ideal weekend evening? Is it a bushwhacker in hand, live music onstage with a beautiful sunset as the backdrop? Head to the American Legion Post 199 for a different concert each night this weekend. Saturday night Rebecca Berry opens for The Tip Tops, Sunday see The Modern Eldorados and Monday the Red Clay Strays take the stage.
When: Sept. 3 – 5 at 4 p.m.
