FOLEY, Alabama -- Coach Keith Smith and the Snook Christian Academy Eagles kicked off the school’s inaugural football season with fall practice beginning Monday, July 24 on Caleb’s Field of Dreams on the school campus in Foley.

SCA fielded a 30-man roster for spring practices, ranging from fifth graders up through seniors. Led by the Foley Lion alum and longtime Foley coach, who will count among his assistants his father, legendary Foley Coach Lester Smith, the Eagles will play a 10-game varsity schedule right out of the gate with their first contest scheduled for Aug. 18 “at home” against St. Patrick Catholic High of Biloxi, Mississippi. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at J.D. Sellars Stadium in Robertsdale.

Two more “home” games have been scheduled, Sept. 22 versus South Walton of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and Oct. 13 against Freeport (Florida).

The remaining seven games will be played in Florida. The Eagles will also play a five-game freshmen schedule, Smith said, led by the school’s principal Thad Butts.
