Teen recovering after being struck by vehicle in Foley

FOLEY — A teenager is recovering after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the highway Friday morning in Foley.

According to a release by the Foley Police Department, at approximately 7:24 a.m., a 14-year-old female was struck by a vehicle while crossing West Laurel Avenue (U.S. 98) at Oak Street in Foley.

The Foley Police Department, Foley Fire Department, MedStar and AirCare responsed to the scene.

The teen was transported by AirCare to USA Hospital in Mobile. The injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

The Foley Police Department's Accident Investigation Unit is investigating the incident. There is no update on her condition.
