Tanger Outlets Foley opens applications for 2024 TangerKids Grants Program

Tanger Outlets Foley has announced the opening of applications for its 2024 TangerKids Grants Program, continuing a nearly 30-year tradition of investing in local education.

Educators in Baldwin County are encouraged to apply by Oct. 18, with the opportunity to secure funding that enhances learning environments and supports student success. Applications can be submitted online at https://grants.tanger.com.

The program, which has contributed more than $3.4 million to school-focused initiatives across Tanger communities, is dedicated to addressing the needs of underserved schools, accessibility programs and student resources. In 2023 alone, Tanger awarded $168,000 through over 140 grants nationwide, supporting a range of projects from equipment upgrades and STEM initiatives to hygiene and clothing closets.

This year, Tanger has committed to allocating 70% of its grant funding to underserved schools and programs aimed at accessibility and meeting the needs of students. Faculty members from pre-K through grade 12 at both public and private schools are eligible to apply for the grants.

As part of the program, Tanger Foley shoppers will have the opportunity to participate in the Member's Choice voting, which will take place from Dec. 2 to 13. This community-driven vote allows shoppers to help determine which local schools and programs receive grants.

The grant recipients will be announced in January 2025 and will be celebrated during the center's annual TangerKids Day.
