The Bayshore Christian volleyball program has a new leader after a Monday announcement revealed Susan Shaw-Douberly as the next head coach.
Shaw-Douberly brings over a decade of experience to the position and will help lead the Eagles’ search for their first AHSAA state crown since 2020’s inaugural season.
With playing and coaching stops with club teams including Nebraska Elite and KC Premier, Shaw-Douberly has also achieved Master Coach status for the United States Juniors Volleyball Academy on the Eastern Shore. The beach and indoor club team is owned by Dave Omtvedt, who head coached Bayshore Christian to its AHSAA state title.
In her spare time, Shaw-Douberly also serves as the owner of a marketing firm, 29 Strategies, and an online boutique, Two and Nines. She is married to Jerrad Douberly and is the mother of a current Eagle student-athlete.
Bayshore Christian’s volleyball program debuted in 2013 as a member of the Panhandle Christian Conference where the Eagles hoisted championship trophies in 2016 and 2017.
With a state runner-up finish in 2021 and a semifinal appearance in 2022 as an AHSAA member, Bayshore Christian won its third-straight area championship this past season. The Eagles won their first regional match and found the end of the road in the second round.
