Recent Spanish Fort graduate and current Auburn freshman, Cameron Keshock, helped the Tiger baseball team register the No. 6 recruiting class in the nation according to Baseball America.

Keshock – a pitcher listed at 6’ 7”, 215 pounds – is one of 14 high schoolers and one of nine Alabamians that helped Auburn record its fifth-best recruiting class in program history. The No. 6 ranking trails only the fourth-ranked class from 2017 and three other No. 5 classes (1996, 2007, 2016).

Coming out of Spanish Fort High School, Keshock was ranked the No. 16 overall prospect in Alabama and the No. 5 right-handed pitching prospect according to Perfect Game. In PG events, Keshock topped out at 91 mph on the mound last summer, ran a 7.06-second 60-yard dash in 2020 and registered a 90-mph exit velocity in 2019.

Keshock competed in PG’s All-American games in 2020 and was named to preseason All-American lists his last three high school seasons.

Auburn’s newcomers group this season is made up of 48 athletes which include four of Perfect Game’s top-100 recruits. Tiger head coach Butch Thompson

“(Tiger head coach Butch) Thompson has now had his hand in four of Auburn’s top five recruiting classes and has secured 15 top-10 recruiting classes since 2003,” the announcement release says.

The Tigers have home fall exhibitions scheduled against Louisiana Tech (Oct. 15 at 1 p.m.) and Alabama (Oct. 28 at 6:30 p.m.).
