The Toros' walk-off hero in the 2023 state quarterfinals, Cooper picked up right where he left off last year and made a splash on both sides of Spanish Fort’s 11-2 win over UMS-Wright on Opening Day. Not only did the Mississippi Gulf Coast commit yield only 2 hits over 4 innings with 5 strikeouts, but he also delivered 2 hits and 2 RBIs offensively.
