The South Baldwin Literacy Council is gearing up for its Annual Trivia Night, set to take place on Friday, Aug. 23.
The event will be from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Foley Civic Center, 407 E. Laurel Ave.
This eagerly anticipated event promises a night of brain-teasing fun and friendly competition, all in support of literacy in Baldwin County. Doors open at 5 p.m., with trivia kicking off at 6:30 p.m.
This year's trivia night features a "Favorite Children's Book" theme, with awards for the best table theme and trivia champions. While dressing up is not mandatory, teams often enjoy collaborating on table decor and costumes to enhance the fun atmosphere.
Participants can form teams of up to eight players to tackle eight rounds of 10 questions each. Attendees can expect an array of activities between rounds, including a silent auction, a live auction and a "Heads or Tails" game.
For those without a team, individual tickets are available. The council will match solo participants with other attendees to form teams, fostering new friendships and collaborative spirit.
A table ticket for eight players is priced at $200, while individual tickets are available for $25 each. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite at www.eventbrite.com/e/annual-trivia-night-2024-tickets-929800808247. All proceeds from the event will go directly to support local literacy programs in Baldwin County.
Participants should bring their own food, drinks, serving supplies and table decorations. While coolers are allowed, attendees are advised to be mindful of limited space. The venue will provide a white tablecloth for each table and extra ice if needed.
The auction will feature items to suit all budgets. Previous auctions have featured items ranging from mountain cabin stays to charter fishing trips. Participants are encouraged to bring their checkbooks and be ready to bid on some great deals. Payment can be made via cash, check or credit card.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to support a great cause, enjoy a memorable evening and potentially take home fantastic prizes and the title of Trivia Champions. Mark your calendars and get ready for a night of trivia madness at the Foley Civic Center.
