The upcoming Clean Out & Recycle Day on Saturday, April 26, will give residents a chance to clean out their homes while supporting a good cause.
A special collection booth for soda tabs will be set up to benefit the Ronald McDonald House in Mobile.
The nonprofit recycles the tabs to raise funds that help keep families close to their critically ill or injured children during medical treatments. Ronald McDonald House offers families a "home away from home," providing a comfortable guestroom, meals and emotional support during difficult times. The organization ensures families have a place to stay just steps away from their child's medical care.
Clean Out & Recycle Day will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at Bay Minette City Hall. The event, free to the public, will feature several stations in the parking lot for collecting items like grease, aluminum, metals, cardboard, electronics, medications, ink cartridges and more. In addition to the soda tab collection, a document shredder will be available for sensitive files, and a tire drop-off station will be set up for old tires.
It's a perfect opportunity to spring clean while supporting a meaningful cause. For more information, contact (251) 580-1625.
