Rounding up a posse

ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — Members of the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department’s Mounted Posse deputized participants in the Robertsdale Public Library’s summer reading program on Thursday, June 22 at the library.

Capt. Darren Williamson spoke to the group about making right choices and being a leader. Capt. Bob King then deputized participants, assisted by Deputy Rhonda Williamson and junior deputy Darren “D” Williamson II.

After being deputized, the group participated in a variety of activities, including “calf roping” and enjoyed hamburgers and chips.

The library’s Summer Reading Program, dubbed “Build A Better World,” wraps up this week with Charlie Williams – The Noise Guy, at 10 a.m. on June 28 at the PZK, and an end-of-program Luau on June 29 at the library.
