LOXLEY — Robertsdale High School senior Amberleigh Gibbs, of Loxley, was named the recipient of Mediacom Communications' World Class Scholarship program.
The scholarship, worth $1,000, recognizes Gibbs for her outstanding leadership and academic accomplishments.
"As a technology company, Mediacom understands how important it is to invest in future leaders like Amberleigh Gibbs," said Mediacom Group Vice President Doug Frank. "I'm proud that our company supports talented local students with scholarship support. We congratulate all graduates in the Class of '22, and particularly acknowledge Amberleigh for her outstanding accomplishments."
The World Class Scholarship program is in its 21st year. The scholarship goes to students who live in areas where the company services. Sixty graduating seniors are selected annually to receive scholarships to support their post-secondary education. Recipients must attend an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or technical school within the United States to qualify.
