FOLEY - Ring in the New Year at OWA with the destination’s Inaugural New Year’s Eve celebrations, which include the kid-friendly Bubbles & Beats beginning at 2 p.m., followed by Downtown OWA Sparks & Sounds at 5 p.m.

“After a surprise rainstorm canceled the celebrations planned for the previous year, we knew we had to do something big to ring in 2022. We’ve filled the day with fun for adults and the young at heart and decided to blast off fireworks well before midnight. That way we can all get started on our New Year’s resolutions bright and early the following day,” said Kristin Hellmich, director of marketing/PR for OWA.

The kid-friendly Bubbles & Beats will go from 2 - 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 31. Children can enjoy an epic bubble party with music by DJ Patrick, free kids’ crafts, inflatables and more. Kids of all ages will be able to enjoy the event without having to remain awake until midnight. Crafts include peel-and-stick New Year’s 2022 glasses and noisemaker wands. The Taste of OWA food truck will be parked by Clash eSports Center where the scavenger hunt prize pick-up will also be located.

Those looking to keep the celebration going into the night can hang around for Downtown OWA Sparks & Sounds from 5 - 9 p.m. on the OWA Island. Enjoy free live music from the Miles Flatt Band, followed by The Tip Tops. A fireworks show will end the evening at 8:50 p.m.
