The Fairhope Arts and Crafts Festival Foundation recently unveiled the 2023 Fairhope Arts and Crafts Festival poster art and featured artist Ricky Trione.

Trione is a well-known artist and Fairhope native. Before losing his eyesight over 20 years ago, his preferred medium was pen and ink and after he transitioned to using thick textures, molding compounds and his sense of touch. His works reflect the beauty and way of life on the Gulf Coast.

Affectionately known as Mr. Ricky to school children across Baldwin County, Trione shares his passion for art and inspires people of all ages and abilities.

The 2023 Fairhope Arts and Crafts Festival Foundation selected Trione’s painting with the festival's theme, “Utopia on the Bay” in mind. The artwork will appear on promotional posters, T-shirts and signed limited edition prints sold during the festival.

The 2023 Fairhope Arts and Crafts Festival will fill the streets of downtown Fairhope with artists from around the United States. The festival opens Friday, March 17 at 10 a.m. and runs through Sunday, March 19 at 5 p.m. For more information, visit fairhopeartsandcraftsfestival.com.
