Rep. Jennifer Fidler announces town hall meetings, 2023 legislative goals

Posted

Rep. Jennifer Fidler (R – Silverhill) has scheduled three town hall meetings for constituents, beginning Thursday evening.

Fidler represents District 94 which stretches from the Eastern Shore northward to Montrose, south to County Road 12 and east into Foley and Silverhill.

The town hall meetings are:
Feb. 23, 9 a.m. – Fairhope Courthouse, 1100 Fairhope Ave.
Feb. 23, 6 p.m. – Fairhope Courthouse, 1100 Fairhope Ave.

Feb. 28, 6 p.m. – Magnolia Springs Town Hall, 12191 Magnolia Springs Highway (following the town council meeting)

Fidler said she looks forward to meeting with and hearing from her constituents.

"I always want to make sure that people in my district have access to me and to the help my office can provide," Fidler said. "And I want them to be sure to know that I plan to support bills that address the issues that I heard directly from them when I went door to door in District 94 during my campaign."

Fidler said several federal issues have been key concerns for many people in her district.

"People have been upset and concerned about what's going on across our country – rising prices on goods and services, higher gas prices, inflation, having the freedom to make their own health choices, illegal immigration and the growing national debt," Fidler said.

Fidler said she will stick to the principles and issues that she ran on, which she said are issues and values that she knows are shared by the people in her district.

"I ran on the principles that I am defender of election integrity, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and states' rights, as well as the rights of the unborn," Fidler said. "I am an advocate of balanced growth, excellent school education, healthcare choices, clean water initiatives, and preserving the agriculture, heritage and culture of our communities."

Fidler said concerns with Baldwin County and other local matters included Baldwin County's fast rate of growth and the issues that come with that rapid growth.

"We have to make sure that we have the infrastructure and resources necessary to support the growth we're continuing to see year after year," Fidler said. "So, I'm going to make sure I'm looking for ways to make sure we get our fair share of state funding and resources to support our roads, sewer, water, broadband and other critical infrastructure so that we can maintain and grow our wonderful quality of life here."
