Young men in Bay Minette are receiving lessons on growing up strong through a program called The Art of Manliness - Baldwin County. The first session was held at the Bay Minette Public Library earlier this month.

Led by Korey Chapman, the discussion focused on the first two pillars of the program: character and discipline. Future sessions will cover a wide range of topics from entrepreneurship and etiquette to safety and health information.

The next meeting, set for Feb. 11, will feature Alabama State Trooper Nick Thompson who will discuss "Obeying the Law."

Other class topics will include CPR and health screening with Heart for Athletes and "Cooking up the Basics" with Brandon Morrow, among others.

Registration is available at the Bay Minette Public Library or follow The Art of Manliness-Baldwin County on Facebook. The class is for boys ages third grade and up.
