High school students in Baldwin County searching for the perfect prom dress can look forward to a fun and glamorous experience at this year's Project Prom.
Hosted by the Junior Auxiliary of the Eastern Shore, the event invites students to browse through thousands of dresses, shoes and accessories – all available at no cost.
Project Prom will take place Friday, Feb. 21, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Fairhope High School. Open to all local high school students, the event features dresses in sizes ranging from 00 to 28, ensuring everyone has the chance to find their dream outfit.
For a sneak peek at the fashions, visit Project Prom's Instagram page: @ProjectPromJAEasternShore.
The Junior Auxiliary is also seeking donations to make the event even more special. Community members can donate dresses, shoes, purses and other accessories. Donations of services, such as updos, manicures or pedicures, are also welcome. Drop-off locations include Thompson Animal Hospital on Highway 181 in Fairhope, Mobile Bay Realty in downtown Fairhope and Castle Technology Partners off Pollard Road in Daphne. Donations will be accepted through Feb. 18.
Project Prom aims to ensure that every student can experience the excitement of prom without worrying about the financial burden. For more information about the Junior Auxiliary of the Eastern Shore and its programs, visit www.jaeasternshore.org.
