OWA launches resident ticket discounts for Baldwin, Mobile county

Posted

Amusement parks are stereotypically frequented by tourists, but OWA Parks & Resort in Foley is now offering a special locals pass to invite residents to explore its amenities on a discounted ticket price.

The new Gulf Coast Neighbor Pass is open to residents of Baldwin, Mobile and Escambia counties in Alabama and Escambia and Santa Rosa counties in Florida. The pass gives a $40 savings off the regular price of the Ultimate Pass, or take part in the Lei Away Plan for unlimited visited for five monthly payments of $45. Also, a "bring a friend" pass allows each Gulf Coast Neighbor season pass holder four day passes.

"We appreciate our local neighbors who are return guests and hope the Gulf Coast Neighbors Pass and daily ticket discounts enable them to enjoy more of the fun and thrills OWA has to offer all year long," said Cathy Pavloski, director of marketing and public relations.

Tropic Falls at OWA was once again recognized as one of the top five most affordable theme parks in the United States, marking its third consecutive year on the list. This accolade comes from HomeToGo, the world's largest vacation rental marketplace, which recently unveiled its 2024 rankings of the 42 most budget-friendly U.S. theme parks. This year, Tropic Falls secured the fourth spot, with Frontier City in Oklahoma taking the top position.

HomeToGo's rankings offer insights for travelers seeking both affordable and premium theme park experiences. The list compares the most popular theme parks across the country, focusing on those with the best value for the money. The rankings are based on key data points including entry fees, parking costs and daily accommodation expenses per person. The data reflects searches on HomeToGo.com for travel dates between June 1 and Aug. 31.
