Thirteen vendors gathered at Orange Beach Waterfront Park on June 29 as a part of ongoing summer events through the Orange Beach Parks and Recreation Department. Vendors sold fruits and vegetables, baked goods, homemade wooden planters, honey, dip mixes and seasoning blends, and the Hog Wild BBQ food truck was on site for hungry attendees. Kristin Hatcher, events coordinator for the department, said it was the first farmers market the city has held and, while it was just a pop-up event, future markets might be held depending on resident response.
