Operation ReConnect Jeep winner a veteran

The winner of the Operation ReConnect ‘We the People’ Jeep was announced on Veterans Day and this year’s winner is an Army veteran.

The 2021 Operation ReConnect Special Project is a fully customized 2020 Jeep Wrangler JL Sahara that features hand painted graphics, Rough Country parts and accessories, 16-million color accessory lighting including interior fiber optics and embroidered interior seats featuring the Operation ReConnect emblem.

Operation ReConnect Founder and Director Ryan Charrier hosted the drawing live on the organization’s Facebook account. Numbered ping pong balls were drawn from sand buckets. This year, Tacky Jack’s Marketing and Events Manager Susan Sizemore drew the final two numbers.

The winning ticket, No. 05257, belonged to Jesse of Claremore, Oklahoma. Charrier called the winner while broadcasting live. He was shocked and said he had never won anything before. The winner of this year’s giveaway is a 21-year Army veteran and the first veteran to win one of the Operation ReConnect vehicle giveaways.

Operation Reconnect is a local nonprofit organization founded, operated and managed by current and former service members. The organization has one mission – to provide the “gift of time” to the men, women and families who have dealt with the difficulties of an overseas combat deployment. Operation ReConnect provides combat veterans and their families with seven nights of uninterrupted time together in Coastal Alabama or Northwest Florida.

Since 2018, Operation ReConnect has raffled a custom vehicle off to raise money to support the organization’s mission. The past vehicles include a 2019 Corvette Grand Sport, 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Rubicon and 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.
