ROBERTSDALE — Fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a barn on Kendrick Road Tuesday morning.
Crews responded to the fire at approximately 9:11 a.m. Tuesday, said Police Chief Brad Kendrick, who serves as public safety coordinator for the city of Robertsdale.
Fire departments from Robertsdale, Silverhill, Summerdale and Loxley worked about three hours to put the fire out, but the barn was a total loss, Kendrick said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Kendrick said, but no foul play is suspected. There were no injuries as a result of the fire. The only other property damaged was a tractor that was inside the barn at the time of the fire.
