Lucky for you, there are plenty of other events happening while your crazy neighbors tie down yet another giant pumpkin blow-up in their yard.
Glassblown pumpkins workshop
Ok, ok, yes, they are pumpkins. But, you get to learn how to blow glass which is super fantastic. Plus, you'll be the envy of all your friends who hung simple plastic pumpkins up this year while yours is delicate blown glass. The Eastern Shore Arts Center is hosting this fun learning experience Oct. 21 and 22 for $55 per person. Visit esartcenter.org to register and learn more.

Baldwin Pops Founder's Day Concert
Enjoy a beautiful day in the park listening to the pride of Baldwin County, the Baldwin Pops. The volunteer musicians will perform at Henry George Park in Fairhope on Sunday, Oct. 9, at 6 p.m. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy!
Bay Minette Fire Department Family Fun Day
Why is October a fire fighter's favorite month? It's fire prevention month! In Bay Minette they will celebrate with a fire truck parade at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29. Afterwards there will be demonstrations and games set up at the fire station. The day ends with a viewing of the movie "Planes: Fire and Rescue" at 6 p.m.
Burgers & Bingo on the Square
What's better than fun games and delicious grilled burgers out in the cool autumn air? On Friday, Oct. 14 Burgers & Bingo returns to Bay Minette at the Courthouse Square Gazebo from 6 – 8 p.m. This family friendly event includes free bingo games. The Quarterback Club will sell hamburgers and hot dogs and the Kiwanis Club will sell drinks and concessions.
Stapleton Bluegrass Festival
This tiny hometown festival has become one of the top bluegrass festival in the region. Bands recognized both nationally and locally will take the stage Saturday, Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the campus of Stapleton Elementary School.
Food and beverage trucks will be on site. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for youth ages 5- to 12-years.
