North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce Marks 80th annual meeting with awards, reflection on growth

The North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 80th Annual Meeting and Reception on Feb. 20 at the John F. Rhodes Civic Center.

The event brought together the local business community to reflect on the Chamber’s accomplishments from 2024 and honor outstanding contributions to the region’s growth.

The meeting provided a comprehensive look at the Chamber’s progress, with Executive Director Kristina Pittman and outgoing Chairman Cecilia Hammond leading the discussion according to a news release. The pair highlighted key initiatives and programs from the previous year. Incoming Chairwoman Melissa Hollingsworth shared her vision for the future, focusing on leveraging the area’s growing business landscape while preserving the qualities that make North Baldwin unique.

The event also offered networking opportunities with food, drinks and a silent auction, capping off the evening with an awards ceremony to recognize local business leaders and community members. Five honorees were celebrated for their contributions:

2024 North Baldwin Small Business of the Year – Coastal Events & Design

2024 North Baldwin Business of the Year – International Paper

2024 North Baldwin Emerging Business of the Year – Glam & Glaze Boutique and Bakery

2024 North Baldwin Service Award – Tina Covington

2024 North Baldwin Volunteer Recognition – Jan Oman

“In such a fast-moving business environment, it is crucial to pause and acknowledge the accomplishments that the business community has helped us create to make North Baldwin a better place to live, work, and play,” Pittman said. “We are proud to thank our sponsors, dedicated board members, Chamber Members, the supportive community, and the countless individuals who continuously support the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce and our mission.”
