National Shrimp Festival Golf Challenge tees up for education

Posted

The 31st-annual National Shrimp Festival Golf Challenge for Education is set to tee off on Friday, Aug. 30, at Craft Farms in Gulf Shores.

Running from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., the event will once again bring together golfers and sponsors to support the Gulf Coast Chamber's education initiatives.

Since its inception in 1993, the Golf Challenge has served as a kickoff event for the month-long excitement leading up to the National Shrimp Festival. The tournament is renowned for offering a premier golfing experience, drawing participants from across the region to compete on the picturesque courses of Craft Farms — a must-play for golfers of all skill levels.

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Chamber's efforts to enhance educational opportunities in the local community. Sponsors and teams looking to join this annual tradition can contact Kimberly Ray at kimberly@mygulfcoastchamber.com or (251) 968-7215 for registration details.

The event presents a prime opportunity for businesses to brand themselves alongside a beloved local tradition while enjoying a day on the links. Participants are encouraged to sign up early, as the event is expected to draw a large turnout in support of education and the community.
