Norma Odom Simpson, age 79, a resident of Gulf Breeze, Florida, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022.
Norma Gayle was born and raised in Clio, South Carolina. She graduated from Clio High School and attended Winthrop College. She enjoyed her time working at St. Andrew’s College, Westminster Village, and Perry Hand and Associates. Norma was an avid reader, enjoyed completing crossword puzzles, and was a fierce Scrabble competitor.
She was preceded in death by her mother Lorine Hamilton Odom, her father Henry Joseph Odom, her sister Annette Floyd, and her husband Harry Orr Simpson, Jr.
She is survived by one son, Jeff Calhoun of Gulf Shores, Alabama; one daughter, Julie (David) Williams of Gulf Shores, Alabama; three grandchildren, Dillon (Brooke) Calhoun, Chesley (Jason) Catlett, and Lindsey Williams; one great-grandchild, Noah Calhoun; and many other loving relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., July 2, at Wolfe-Bayview Chapel in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
