Michael P. Liedka, age 65, of Daphne, Alabama, passed away on Jan. 29, 2025, after a lifetime filled with family, friends and unforgettable memories. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who have the pleasure of knowing him.
Mike is survived by his daughters, Kelsey and Karah of Daphne, Alabama; his siblings, Debbie (Phil) Pichette, Michele Falter, Fritz Liedka, Heidi Taffaro, Penny (Greg) Annan, Tammy (Rick) Donnelly and Danny (Kim) Liedka; and several nieces and nephews.
Mike adored his daughters, Kelsey and Karah. Every moment spent with them was a treasured memory.
Born into a big, loving family as one of eight siblings, Mike grew up surrounded by the joy and chaos that comes with a house full of brothers and sisters. That upbringing shaped his quick wit, sharp sense of humor, and unfiltered personality—traits that made him the life of any gathering.
Mike worked at Rouses Market and prior to that at BAE Systems. Though he lived far from family, he was always close at heart, staying connected through countless shared stories and cherished memories. “Visor Mike” loved his time with his friends at the Bay House. He had a love for fishing, not just for the catch but for the tales—some true, some a little stretched, but always entertaining.
Now, he joins his beloved mother in Heaven, where laughter and love are eternal. Though we will miss him more than words can express, we take comfort knowing his spirit lives on, watching over us with that same warmth and mischief we all knew and loved.
"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal." — Irish Proverb
