Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Lane age 85 of Cullman, died Fri., Mar. 7, 2025. Libby was born on Jun. 16, 1939, to Paul S. and Louse Barlow Britton in Rose Hill Mississippi. She was a member of Cullman’s 1st United Methodist Church and Women of the Moose.
Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon R. Lane; and a brother, Paul Eugene Britton.
Libby is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Mark) Calvert; son, David (Karen) Lane; 4 grandchildren: Misty (Richard) Fisher, Marki Calvert, Abigail (Austin) Marshall, and Nicole Lane; sister, Becky (Jonne) Thornton; 7 great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
The family received friends on Tues., Mar. 11, 2025, from 12:00 noon until the celebration of Mary Elizabeth Lane’s life which began at 1:00 PM at Moss Service Funeral Home chapel. The burial followed in Cullman City Cemetery.
