Mary Cornelia Stacey, age 96, born Sept. 26, 1927, and a lifelong resident of Foley, Alabama, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tues. Aug. 6, 2024. She was a member of the Foley Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, W.W. and Irene Smith, her loving husband James H. Stacey Jr., sisters, Ophelia Caneer, Amelia Christian, Onelia Humphreys and brother William L. Smith. She is survived by her sister Aurelia Rogers and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A special thank you to the care givers from Springhill Home Health and Hospice and Memorable Occasions and the four special ladies that took care of her, she loved them all.
Funeral Services were held at the Foley Church of Christ, 202 W. Orchid Ave. Foley, Alabama, on Mon. Aug. 12, 2024, with visitation at 10:00 am followed by service at 11:00 am and she was laid to rest at Pine Rest Memorial Park. Please go to www.casonfuneralservice.com and sign the Memorial Book.
