Margaret Meadows Denson

Margaret Meadows Denson passed away peacefully on August 2, 2022 at Brookdale Senior Living Facility in Stuart, Florida. Until moving to Stuart in 2021, she was a lifelong resident of Birmingham, Alabama. Born December 6, 1924, she was the daughter of Dr. James A. Meadows and Minna Mundt Meadows.

She attended Arlington Hall, Arlington, Virginia. she graduated from UAB with degrees in Sociology and Social Work. She earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from UA, Tuscaloosa.

Mrs. Denson was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, the National Society of Decorative Painters, the Alabama Guild of Decorative Artists, the Junior League of Birmingham, and Friends of the Vestavia Library, of which she was a volunteer in the Vestavia Library Bookstore.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Eugene Morgan, (Karen), Stuart, Florida; daughter Margaret Meadows Morgan, Foley, Alabama; grandchildren Anna Hallex, Orange Beach, Alabama, Carl Morgan Lenz (Melinda), Foley, Alabama, and Roberto Ruiz, Lynn, Massachusetts; great-grandchildren River Lee Hallex, Lillian Katherine Lenz, Leighton Rose Lenz, and Stephen Ruiz; brother, Dr. Edward Meadows, of Birmingham, and special niece's Sarah Chisholm and Elizabeth Meadows, and longtime family friend Michael Gerlach, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Brookdale Senior Living Facility, Stuart, Florida for the loving and devoted care given to Mrs. Denson. The entire staff went way above and beyond every single day to provide her with all the care and attention she ever needed. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Treasure Coast Hospice has our heartfelt thanks for the loving care you showered on Margaret during her last days. You are an awesome group of loving, caring people.

Mrs. Denson was preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother, Dr. James Meadows.
