Margaret Adams Boykin (Mickey), a longtime resident of Daphne, Alabama, passed away on Nov. 9, 2021, at the age of 85.

She loved the Lord, her family, her friends, her community and her country. She was an active member of Daphne United Methodist Church.

Upon her retirement from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1995, she became involved with community activities, helping to establish the Daphne History Museum where she volunteered until her death. She served on the Board of the Friends of Daphne Public Library for six years and was an active member of the Daphne Women’s Study Club and the Baldwin County Historical Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Adams, and her husband, Milton (Bill) Boykin.

She is survived by son, Martin Glenn Boykin; daughter, Mary Kimberlye (Roland) Godwin; grandson, Dylan Boone (Morgan) Godwin; great-granddaughter, Linden Claire Godwin; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Mary Jo Adams; sister and brother-in-law, Robin and Eddie Creamer; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, at the Daphne chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes. The family received friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment followed in Daphne Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted by Daphne Baptist Church Cemetery Association and Daphne History Museum.
