ABOUT THE ARTIST

Macy Gray burst onto the music scene in 1999 with her triple-platinum debut album, "On How Life Is," which featured the Grammy-winning hit “I Try.” Over her decades-spanning career, she has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide, earned five Grammy nominations, and won two BRIT Awards.

Gray’s distinctive voice and genre-blending style have made her a sought-after collaborator. She has worked with artists such as Bobby Brown, Ariana Grande and Galactic. Known for her powerful stage presence, Gray continues to sell out venues around the world.

Beyond music, Gray has made a mark on the big screen. She appeared in Tyler Perry’s "For Colored Girls," the Netflix series "Fuller House," and the film "Training Day" alongside Denzel Washington.

In 2024, Gray released the single “I AM,” a collaboration with Big Freedia. The bass-heavy, bounce-inspired anthem delivers a message of self-acceptance and empowerment. The track, with its infectious beat and bold lyrics, encourages listeners to embrace their true selves with pride.
