Louise S. Eckman

Louise S. Eckman of Fairhope, Alabama passed away Oct. 11, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Dec. 3, 1928, to Hiram and LuZillie (Carpenter) Sullivan. She married E. Kelly Eckman on Dec. 14, 1945 and spent much of her adult life with her family in Buffalo, New York where she had a career as a cosmetologist.

After retiring, she returned to Fairhope with her husband. Louise was an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. She remained involved in her community throughout her life, volunteering at the Nix Center since it’s opening in 1997.

Louise is survived by her daughter Patricia (Robert) Perwak of Fairhope, her daughter-in-law Grace Marie Eckman, grandchildren Ashley (Corey) Owen and Daniel Eckman, and one great grandchild, Sawyer Daniel Owen. In addition, she is survived by her brother McArthur Sullivan, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Louise was predeceased by her husband E. Kelly Eckman, to whom she was married for 52 years. She was also predeceased by her son Daniel Eckman.

Visitation will be at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, 19698 S. Greeno Road, Fairhope, Alabama from 11:00-12:00 on Monday, Oct. 17, 2022. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 at Memory Garden Cemetery, 19250 S. Greeno Road, Fairhope.
