Locally, 29 student-athletes representing three schools were honored and two teams (Bayshore Christian, Gulf Shores) were among 19 teams to compile a cumulative team GPA over 3.25.
The Bayshore Christian Eagles led the way for Baldwin County representatives with 13 selections between five each on the first- and second-team all-academic and three on the third-team all-academic. The Gulf Shores Dolphins earned nine selections across five first-team, three second-team and one third-team all-academic and the Baldwin County Tigers had two first-teamers and five land on the second-team all-academic.
Bayshore Christian’s cumulative GPA of 3.74 was eighth-best overall and the top for a Class 1A team. Gulf Shores followed close behind with a cumulative GPA of 3.73 for 10th overall and fourth in Class 6A. Pelham, also from Class 6A, was the leader with a cumulative GPA of 3.92.
The three all-academic teams were broken up into ranges where the first team had players with a GPA over 4.00, the second team recognized those with a GPA between 3.99-3.75 and the third team honored students who registered a GPA between 3.74-3.50.

A contingent of Bayshore Christian Eagles (Jack Malone, Ben Whiteside, Nate Crooms, John Malone, Cooper Schultze), as well as Gulf Shores’ Kaden Pierce, rounded out the other local first-team selections after they all recorded a GPA of 4.00.
In the top-20 of the second-team honorees, Bayshore Christian’s Mikael Bryant (3.97 for fourth) led the way ahead of Baldwin County’s Drew Turner (3.94 for seventh) and Owen Boatright (3.91 for 12th) and Gulf Shores’ Jud Keel (3.91 for 13th) and Maddox Greathouse (3.88 for 19th).
